It is once again GameTap Thursday, and what a great week it is! Not only is a new episode of American McGee’s Grimm Volume 2 now available to play free for the first 24-hours, but subscribers can also download Gothic 3 and Kingpin. Metal Slug fans who have signed up on GameTap are in for a treat because Metal Slug X is the latest free game to be added to the growing roster (145 free games total).

Valve has always had pretty popular games, and if their recent release of sales figures over the past ten years are any indication of the company’ success, well then they will have nothing to worry about for a very long time. Well, that’s barring some unforeseen gaming or spending catastrophe like a Superman 64 or a very bad heroine addiction.

If the bigwigs over at Eidos were to look upwards today, they may see a stream of buzzards circling overhead in a most ominous fashion, if a report over on MCV is to be believed. Last week and this week, most rumors circulating around the possible take over of Eidos have mentioned Electronic Arts and Ubisoft within the same sentence, but Warner Brothers is the one that has purchased 20 percent of the stock in Eidos and have had restrictions lifted on purchasing more. However, today, MCV is reporting that Square Enix is thinking about throwing their hat into the ring as well… or to begin circling the skies above Eidos with the rest of the lot.

by In an effort to prove that French people can post nutty videos on the internet too, a prankster named Remi Gaillard took to the streets recently for a Mario Kart style adventure. He actually secured his own go-kart, dressed up as Mario, and then drove around the city tossing bananas under cars and motorcycles. There’s even one point where it seems he has to evade the police. Give them a few years and the French will start coming out with their own “redneck gets hit in the crotch” videos.

Activision Blizzard sure knows how to get the speculation ball rolling, and with this latest bit of teasers and confirmations from the company during yesterday’s Massive Inc. event (advertising summit really) what they had to say is really not much of a surprise.

A large patch for Fable 2 is currently in the works. Lionhead has issued a list of the fixes, and if you have not played the game, you may wish to skip reading them because apparently it contains some spoilers. It can be viewed at your own risk after the break.
